This is our unfiltered review of the new Ciate London Dewy Blush.
If you’re looking for a review of Ciate London’s brand new blush, you’ve come to the right place. Normally, I’m not the biggest blush person, but when I saw Ciate’s new Dewy Blushes, I was immediately interested because of the fun colors and the fact that the product claims to offer a dew-like, hydrated finish.
Ciate’s new Dewy Blush comes in four shades, swatched below, and is the result of a collaboration between the brand the the insanely popular makeup artist, Patrick Ta.
I am someone who loves any beauty product that has a texture that’s glow-y, dewy or soft — and this one definitely delivers. You only need a few dots to get a soft, pigmented look. Upon first application, the texture is a gel-like balm, which dries down so that it’s not sticky, but still dewy.
Personally, I’m a big fan of the watermelon shade, which comes off as a soft pink when blended. The coconut shade is also really flattering and perfect for those who don’t consider themselves “blush” people. It’s more natural, and gives a lit-from-within texture and color payoff, as if you weren’t even wearing a product, but in a good way.
The pomegranate shade is also a nice, deep berry shade that I would love to wear during winter with a deep, almost-black lip. It gives a doll-like effect.
According to Ta, “We’re seeing a huge industry shift away from the matte, over powdered complexion trends of the past, to creating a healthy-looking, flushed glass-like glow all over.” That’s the thing about these blushes – they feel more modern and almost as if they’re a part of your skin.
Below, I tried all the shades on my face.
