This is my unfiltered review of the Dior Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume Mascara.
I first heard of the new mascara when the brand promoted it backstage during its Fall 2017 fashion show in Paris, and knew it had to have it. A squeezable tube? I thought it might be like Eyeko’s tube, and be squishy all over, but it’s actually quite different.
The base of the tube is normal, but in the middle, there’s a concave section that you can squeeze as you pull the wand out of the tube. My advice is to not squeeze too hard. You’ll end up getting tons of mascara on the wand and have to wipe it off on the top of the tube, wasting product. Instead, if you squeeze lightly and kind of drag the wand out, pressing it against the side of the upper tube, you’ll get the perfect amount for the false lashes look.
This is a messy mascara. Because of the way the wand is designed, you have to get really close to your lash line to get full coverage, which means you’ll need a Q-tip to clean it up. However, the mess is worth it. The results are stunning. My lashes looked like extensions. I’ve never seen them this long before (of course, without extensions) and the removal is great too. It’s hands down my new favorite mascara, and unlike other mascaras that sometimes uses fibers and create really, really long lashes, there’s no tugging and scrubbing to get it off. A simple swipe of makeup remover is all you need.
