In our new #TBT column, we take a look at amazing occurrences that happened in the past, whether it be yesterday or 100 years ago.
Last month at Milan Fashion Week, there were two extremely well-groomed Afghan hounds being walked around on leashes by two women in Batman masks who switched out to different colored fur and feather coats outside most of the major shows at Milan Fashion Week–including Gucci, Armani, Bottega Veneta and Prada. Eva Chen said they’re at every Milan Fashion Week show and have great hair. Brooke Jaffe, fashion director at Bloomingdale’s, instagrammed them outside the Prada show. Eric Wilson commented that he thinks “it’s totally normal for Milan Fashion Week.” No one seemed to know why they were there, but they were certainly the stars of the street style scene.
One show attendee told me that they believed the women were models promoting fur coats. She believed she overheard them saying that, but the world may never know. Maybe they’ll make another appearance next season in February.
