Remember James Jean, the artist who collaborated with Miuccia Prada for the spring 2008 show? His artwork aside from the Prada collection is actually pretty interesting. It’s beautiful in an eerie but ethereal way.
The Taiwanese artist’s work is known for being whimsical. James Jean also created an amazing short illustrated video as part of the aforementioned campaign, dubbed Trembled Blossoms.
Again, he took his art to the runway when he dreamt up beautifully strange rabbits for Prada Resort 2018. The artist himself described the collection as a “tangle of floral elements occasionally populated and overrun by rabbits”.
“When you smash together the DNA of two distinct entities, and you end up with a mutation that feels new, exciting and transformative. The artist brings with him or her all sorts of connotations and associations, and hopefully, his or her story complements and continues the history of the brand,” he said during the time.
