When it comes down to it, if you think of the movie One Hour Photo (if you’ve even ever heard of it before) you probably don’t associate it with fashion. The 2002 thriller stars Robin Williams and Connie Nielsen, and is full of dramatic twists and turns that one definitely wouldn’t expect. However, after you watch the movie, you’ll realize One Hour Photo’s fashion is definitely worth saving in the back of your mind. Add it to your moodboard because this is probably one of the most unexpected movies where you’ll ever find fashion inspiration.
Take a look at Nina, played by Connie Nielsen. Throughout One Hour Photo, she wears a variety of leather dresses, Saks Potts-looking coats, and of course, the perfectly spiky, flippy hair from the early 2000s that just feels so right in 2021.
But once we looked into it, we realized it’s actually no wonder the fashion is so good in One Hour Photo. After all, the costume designer was Arianne Phillips, who we also loved so much for her styling of the ’90s-era Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted. One Hour Photo fashion is quite similar to Girl, Interrupted in that it features lush leather coats, body-con dresses and her untouchable cool attitude.
