In my closet, I have more than 30 coats, and the vast majority of them are colorful and eccentric. I love coats and they’re probably my favorite wardrobe investment. So when I came across Rave Review coats at the brand’s fashion show in Copenhagen last year, I knew I had to add them to my wishlist.
Rave Review Coats are unique and colorful, as well as being sustainable and one-of-a-kind. The brand actually takes pre-existing garments or textile objects (think: quilts, blankets) and repurposes them into their amazing coats. For the spring 2021 collection, Rave Review’s coats were made out of patterned sheets from the 1970s, sourced from the designer’s local Sweden. Designers Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück and based out of Stockholm, but have presented their collections at fashion weeks ranging from Copenhagen to Paris.
Of course, Rave Review does more than coats: there’s upcycled tops, pants, skirts and everything else you could imagine, all in their signature sustainable style too.
As for the exact style of the Rave Review coats, I see them as being in either one of two categories: pastel, dreamy blends or brighter, deeper plaid blanket style coats.
In a world where many of us have been without the comforts of visiting family and friends, especially those who live far away, there’s something extremely appealing about wrapping oneself up in a giant blanket coat literally made out of bedding. It’s like wearing a colorful hug.
Excellent and A wonderful read! Your article is the best one I have learned, and it has helped me. Keep doing that.
